2023 GCAC Elementary Cross Country Meet Schedule

**All HOME XC Meets take place in Grove City's Memorial Park Ball Fields behind the Armory

**Times may change - check coach's emails during the season for updates!

Wednesday August 16 @ 7pm - Optional Courtney's Ice Cream Race (5k or 1/2mi kids run) - http://runhigh.com

Tuesday August 22 – AWAY Meet @ Cranberry (up north in Seneca, PA; NOT Twp)

Arrive at 5pm, Race approx. 6pm 

Location: Cranberry Elementary School

**This is an informal race and might not have official results.  This is low stress first "scrimmage/competition" of the season.

Saturday September 2 - Titusville Rocket Invitational

Time: Arrive no later than 8am

Race TIMES:

- "Little Harriers" 1/2 mile Race 8:45am

- Elementary 1 mile Race 9:00am (Note: grades 5-6 cannot run in the Little Harriers race)

Where: Ed Myer's Complex

Saturday September 16 - Commodore Perry Invitational

Arrive between 7:30am to 7:45am (at the latest)

Elementary Girls Race at 8:30am

Elementary Boys Race at 8:45am

Elementary Race Distance: 1.3 miles

**First 10 male and female finishers will receive medals, with the remaining finishers receiving ribbons

**This is our CHAMPIONSHIPS and we want you to be there!!!

Arrival Time: Arrive by 7:30 to 7:45am (at latest so we can walk the course)

Race Time:  Elementary Girls 8:30am (boys to follow)

Tuesday, November 1 - District Elementary 1.1 mile Cross Country Championships @ Mercer

Date: Tuesday, November 1, 2022

Grades: Grades 3-6 only

Location: Mercer High School, 545 W Butler St, Mercer, PA 16137

Arrival Time: 4-4:15pm (at the latest)

First Race Time: 5:00 pm

Notes: Depending on numbers, there will be 3 or 4 races, with a championship race limited to 7-10 runners from each school, as selected by the coach.

Course: 1.11 miles  (finishing on the track, under the stadium lights)

Awards: Top 3 teams for both boys and girls (for championship run only); Medals for top 15 finishers & finishing ribbons for everyone

**Concessions and t-shirts ($20) in youth sizes will be available for purchase.

• We hope that all in-coming 7th graders (and all kids grades 7-12) will move on to Middle School or High School Cross Country after participating in our elementary program!
